National soccer team Harambee stars head coach, Paul Put, says the side is ready to face Burundi this afternoon in the first CECAFA Senior Challenge cup semi final match at Moi Kisumu in Kisumu City at 3pm.The two teams have faced each other ten times in all competitions since 2000, four of those being in CECAFA. Out of those, Kenya has won two, lost three and drew five times. The Stars booked a place in the last four after beating Tanzania 1-0 on Monday to top group ‘A’ with eight points one ahead of Zanzibar who will play defending champions and group ‘B’ winners Uganda cranes in the second semi final tomorrow in Kisumu City. Uganda Cranes will miss the services of their two defenders Timothy Dennis Awany and Isaac Muleme, who were red-carded during the 1-1 draw against Ethiopia on Sunday. The final match will be played this Sunday at the Machakos County stadium. It will be preceded by a third-place play-off at the same venue between the two of today and tomorrow matches.
