Kenya National Football team Harambee Stars jetted back into the country this morning from Sierra Leone, following their 2-1 defeat in the 2019 AFCON Qualifiers. Kenya began her bid for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on a sour note as they lost 2-1 to hosts Sierra Leone on Saturday evening in a highly tempered match at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown City. The loss, against a team lying 39 places below Kenya in FIFA rankings, complicated Kenya’s chances of making another appearance at the tournament, and Stars now have to win their next five games to keep that dream alive. Kenyan international Johanna Omolo is in line to mark his debut in Belgium top tier with Royal Antwerp FC. According to the league fixtures Royal Antwerp will open their campaign at home against RSC Anderlecht on July 28th. The Kenyan midfielder helped the club to promotion last season and he is expected to play a further greater role in their return to top flight this season.
