National soccer team Harambee Stars has landed safely in Kisumu City today morning ahead of their CECAFA, Senior Challenge semifinal tie against Burundi tomorrow at the Moi stadium in the lake side City. The tournament took a two day break yesterday and today ahead of the semifinals which will see holders Uganda play Zanzibar in the second semifinal this Friday. Kenya finished top of Group ‘A’, with eight points, a point more than Zanzibar. Uganda finished top of Group B with five points, same as Burundi but on better goal deference. Stars are looking to put their hands on the CECAFA title as a first step to rebuilding the national team that has failed to qualify for the world cup in all of their attempts, but last played in the Africa Cup of Nations finals in 2004 in Tunisia but never made past the group stage.
